Asked by nouha

I have ASUS X550V :
CPU intel core i7 6700HQ
Nvidia GForce GTX 950
Well, I've been working @windows 10 for a while : system works good but whenever I try to install Ubuntu I face some problems..the last time it was this message error after completing all the installation steps & @the final one : "restart now" :
ech 0 > /proc/sys/kernel/hung_task_timeout_secs disables this message

Any help please?

How are you trying to install Ubuntu?
Did you MD5 test the ISO you downloaded?

Thanks

Ok good, we now know that the file is not corrupted. Please use this in future (If you use torrents then the torrent protocol adds a lot of error checking so isn't needed)

Despite the error (the OS is installed from what your original post says). Does the system reboot OK and work fine ?

Nope, at the reboot step the system blocked for a while and then that message
echo 0 > /proc/sys/kernel/hung_task_timeout_secs disables this message

If you force a reboot with Alt+SysRq+REISUB does the system successfully boot and work then?

By the way, the important error message is in the line _before_ "echo 0 ... disables this message".
