i have installed Ubuntu using Wubi in windows if i format the hd i could loose my installed Ubuntu

I have installed Ubuntu in windows now i want to format windows to install fresh copy . Could this remove Ubuntu.

Reinstalling Windows will not overwrite or delete Ubuntu, unless you format any of Ubuntu's partitions. Resintalling windows will overwrite the boot loader (grub) though, so you will have to reinstall it in order to access your Linux installation again.
