Go to the Skype website and grab the deb. Install it. Not a million miles away from how you'd install it in Windows

Just change the drop down to deb (or snap if you prefer snap)

Managed that. Thanks. There is no Icon for it on the desktop. What am I doing wrong?

Search for it in the dash. It doesn't make a desktop icon by default.

You'll learn with time just like you did with Windows.

Very few applications are installed in this way but Skype is one exception
