lost access to drive

Asked by Brett Bojanoski

I used to use 16.04 LTS and was able to log into my Seagate Central NAS drive using smb4k however my hard drive failed and had to replace it reinstall 16.04.3 LTS and I am no longer able to access my Seagate Central with smb4k giving the error 112 host is down. I was never able to mount as a Window share by the standard method. Thanks

Can you ping the NAS OK?
When you replaced the drive did you reconfigure the storage and format it etc as you did the first drive?

ping works fine also all wireless devices (laptop.tablet, phone) can still access NAS wirelessly
The new hard drive as the old one was formatted by the installer program from Ubuntu CD image I cannot remember the old drive format but the new one is ext4

If you run:

smbtree

Do you see the share OK?

Can you help with this problem?
