tripple boot: win7, win10, ubuntu 17.10

Asked by Albert Johnston

can some one give me some help in my quest to add ubuntu to my multi boot system of windows 7 and windows 10. NOTE: this system uses the UEFI boot system. all the walk through i have found either use windows 8 which seems to have tools not available in win 7 or are or for bios base system neither of which are helpful to me. have

i have win7 and win10 installed and both boot as one would like. i also have ubuntu loaded, but dont seem to be able to boot it... something to do with the UEFI system from what i can tell.

Each system will have its own disk.

Please help.

If each OS has it's own disk then this is simpler. There is no resizing or disk space planning to do (to speed up the Windows systems I suggest you put the page file of one install on the other disk and vice versa. This will improve speed slightly).

This guide should help

The multiboot will be handled at install time. GRUB can chain boot the Windows OSes for you.

You will need to switch the BIOS to boot the Ubuntu drive instead of the Windows drive. This also gives an easy roll back as the Windows drive should be untouched

Can you help with this problem?
