ubuntu 17.10.x the details panel of Software Updater does not grow/shrink with its parent window

under Ubuntu 17.10/17.10.1 when i open "Software Updater" to update the system,
then there is a option "Details" that i can open/close, to show a list what is going on currently during the update process.
in that detail list there is an issue.
download progress: when i enlarge the window, the details list dimensions does not grow with its parent window.
install progress: when i enlarge the window, the details list dimensions does not always grow with its parent window.
it may happen, that the details list shrinks down to one single line and then it keeps these single line dimensions for ever. even the parent window is growing and that single line stays persistent for ever, even Software Updater application was closed and or Ubuntu was rebooted.
