cannot configure vpn connection

Asked by Ken

I am unable to connect to my vpn connection after I updated to 17.04 version

Was working fine before.

How can I connect to my vpn service?
When I try to connect I go to the Network manager icon in the upper right corner of my screen.
My connection is a WIRED CONNECTED
I click on VPN OFF and a dropdown list with my vpn connections list
I switch to ON
And it does not stay ON and goes back to OFF
Before it used to stay ON and dialog would say that I am now connected.

Ubuntu 17.04 is not supported any more and will not receive any error corrections any more (not even for critical vulnerabilities like meltdown and spectre)! See https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Releases

It is strongly recommended to switch to a supported Ubuntu release, either upgrading 17.10 or going back to 16.04 LTS.
