USB HUB and bluetooth

Asked by BlackSmile[FR]

Using an HID usb hub for a logitech bluetooth keyboard and mouse (dinovo), I want to use the bluetooth in gnome. So I need to switch to HCI using the command 'hid2hci'. Then my hub is recognize as a bluetooth device. But if I connect my keyboard with HCI activated (bluetooth). My keyboard keys are missed (I mean multimédia keys). I probably could remap most of them but those who are situated from F1-12 are missing and the "F key" led is not reacting anymore.

What should I do to keep the same keymap or make all of them working. And why the Fkey led is not working whereas the A Lock led is working (both of this led are on the hub?
hoping I am enough clear!

does your hci device actually show up? hid2hci was reporting false positives for dinovo and mx5000 sets. send me the output for hciconfig and the out put of lsusb with only the dongle plugged in, both before and after running hid2hci. I'm unsure what's causing the Fkey not to work but i am working on the bluetooth driver for that particular dongle.

Hi Douglas Glad you try to put support for the DiNovo in ubuntu

So I will first give you some information about my hub. I'm using the
bluetooth dongle. I think I have the first version of DiNovo and not the
Dinovo2 as said on the logitech site. The dongle seems now recognize by
ubuntu. I can have my 3 parts connected (both keyboards and mouse) but
cannot access to the mediapad lcd, the led for [F] on the hub is not
reacting (but [A] for alpha lock is working). Some shortcuts are missing on
the F function line. the other sortcuts are working even if using sound
shortcuts on my computer will messed up with shortcuts of my laptop (cannot
get to keys for the same shortcuts).

now my logs!

$hciconfig :

Sorry for the hid2hci command seems to be already use?
I get this

$hid2hci :
Switching device 046d:c704 to HCI mode failed (No such file or directory)

Hope it help
