bugs after waking from stand by

Asked by Manu

Hello,
I have a HP ProBook G3 laptop on Ubuntu 17.10. The stand by seems to work, but after waking up, i can't shut down my computer, and it doesn't accept any more stand by. If i try shutting it down, it freezes and i must shut the power off.
Also, after waking up, the lspci command doesn't work any more (the terminal freezes if i try). I suppose the issue comes from a PCI device that doesn't support wake up, but i'm not sure of which one.
I tried adding pci=noacpi at grub starting options, but my computer cant start with it.

Here is the result of lspci :

and, after a wake up :
[ 235.104887] pciehp 0000:00:1d.0:pcie004: Device 0000:04:00.0 already exists at 0000:04:00, cannot hot-add
[ 235.104888] pciehp 0000:00:1d.0:pcie004: Cannot add device at 0000:04:00

Does it mean that the trouble comes from the SD card reader ? If it's the case, is there a way to resolve it (if it's help, i almost never use the SD card reader).

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Do you have the latest BIOS?

Thanks for your answer.
I upgraded to BIOS 01.19 Rev.A which is the latest one, but it didn't change anything.

Do you use your card reader? This seems to be causing the issue

I also thought that, but i tried two things:
- i tried inserting a sd card after waking up, and i could read it correctly
- i tried disconnecting the card reader from the bios, and it didn't change anything.
