unable to install Ubuntu 7.04 on a Compaq V6320

While installing Ubuntu 7.04 on a Compaq V6320 the installation crashed with some fsck errors that disappeared too fast for me to see.
Has anyone tried installing Ubuntu 7.04 on a Compaq V6320 ?

Thanks for the question.

You have put this question into the wrong project. You should ask the question in the project ubuntu not launchpad, because here it might not be picked up by the right people.

Secondly you should give more information. It is very difficult to guess why something is stuck or when the correct error messages are not given. If you can boot from the live CD, and mount the ubuntu partition you can go to the var/log folder on that partition and look at the files "dmesg" and "messages" to look for the errors.

I hope that gets you in the right direction.
