terminal?

i've read an answer from one you and it was about a problem going back to windows. it said something about opening a terminal and typing some words. please tell me how to open a terminal and where? i'm trying to open my windows after i installed ubuntu inside windows. i thing i screwed it up because i installed it on the whole drive

Are you on ubuntu?
If yes the terminal is in Applications > Accessories > Terminal.
