Screen 4/5 black after update to lubuntu 17.10

Lubuntu 17.04 was running ok on my Samsumg NC10 netbook when I updated to lubuntu 17.10. After this the left 4/5 of the screen remain black, with a small line of srabbles across the black screen. No change after reinstalling 17.10 via USB-stick. THX 4 HELP. mr

What is the output of:

sudo lshw -C display; lsb_release -a; uname -a; xrandr

Also make sure you have the latest BIOS
