ubuntu 17.10 wacom cth-460 not visible in devices

Asked by strikton

Installed Ubuntu 17.10. After that, Wacom tablet CTH-460 doesn't show up in Settings, Devices, Wacom tablet.
In Ubuntu 17.04 it did, so I could configure the tablet.

OK. Looks good. If you unplug the device and replug it in does it work OK?

If not then disconnect the device and reboot. Log in and wait a few seconds. Connect the device then wait a few seconds and try it. If it doesn't work then run:

dmesg | tail

and provide the output.
Thanks

Ok, reboot with the device connected and log in as usual. Then run:

sudo modprobe -r wacom; sleep 5; sudo modprobe wacom

Does it then work OK?
