partition disk

i'm using ubuntu 16.04 with partition based on GUID method. but i want to partition it and create a new partition. how can do this?

Use Gparted. Its available in the Ubuntu install CD or (if the partition you are using is not a system partition) then you can do this in the installed OS.

I suggest running a full backup in case of catastrophe.
