Is it UEFI by any chance?

UEFI is the major problem.
I wish to be able to edit or remove it from the BIOS.
Can you assist?

Is this a dual boot system (Windows and Ubuntu), or do you want to have Ubuntu as the only operating system?

Douglas L. Turnbull (douglt4) said : #4

I prefer to use only Ubuntu with wine program for some utilities that are unavailable with Ubuntu.
I have found Microsoft windows O/S's are designed to be easily burgled, take too long to load, very little utilities, very expensive/
poor value for money.

In that case you should be able to turn off (U)EFI and/or secure boot in the BIOS (if that is what you want), but you may have to reinstall Ubuntu afterwards or do some additional tweaking.
See also https://help.ubuntu.com/community/UEFI or some other pages that you find by a web search for "Ubuntu turn Uefi off"

I would prefer to remove all the offending operations from the BIOS and instead utilise AI features to enhance overall system
operation.
But thanks for your suggestions.
