Home surveillance system/programme

Asked by NakiMum

Is there a easy to use and understand home surveillance system like Motion and Zoneminder to set up and configure. By this I mean an application with icon where I can configure fps rates, option to send directly to my Flickr-account and an easier way to add more cameras?

I'm still new to this and don't really understand all the set-up via konsole/terminal too much.

Hi Konstantin
don't really understand what you were trying to tell me on how to resolve my question with this link. It's a link to the picasa-site with a bunch of pictures and a language that I don't understand.
Could you please provide me with an understandable solution?

Cheers

Hi Konstantin

no worries. Just couldn't think what it was about. It happens to the best of us.
Glad we could sort it out.

Have a great day.
Cheers
Tanya

Here is a guide about how you can set up a home-surveillance system with ubuntu:

I hope that helps!

Hi Psychopump

this helped a little. I think I'm missing something because I don't an 'application button' to choose settings from etc.

Thanks anyway.

I´m not sure I understand....what button do you think you are missing?
In which application or window?

Hi sorry I'm a bit of a newbie. I'm missing an application button - where I can click on the application and have it start or stop when I want to; change preferences, etc.
Almost like Cheese or so.

Hope I've explained myself a bit.
