Bluetooth speakerphones not working properly on Ubuntu 14.04

Asked by Varun Nair on 2017-11-11

Hi,

The issue is that when we are trying to connect a Bluetooth speakerphone to the system (such as Logitech P710e or any other Bluetooth device) the device gets connected but it doesn't work. In other words, the Bluetooth device gets paired but then there is no audio streaming happening.

Our use case is that we want to use these speakerphones connected via Bluetooth (NOT through USB) and use it for audio calling applications such as Skype, Vidyo or Zoom.

After connecting via Bluetooth, the device can be seen in the "Settings". But once a call is initiated, the device doesn't work.

We are using Ubuntu 14.04.

Any support given will be highly appreciated.

What is the output of:

wget -O alsa-info.sh http://www.alsa-project.org/alsa-info.sh && chmod +x ./alsa-info.sh && ./alsa-info.sh

When the speaker is paired.

Thanks
