Which version of HPLIP runs under ubuntu 15.04?

My hp-officejet-pro runs under unbuntu 15.04 which use on by laptop, using drivers for hp 8660. On my desk top I run ubuntu 16.04.
I've tried several versions of HPLIP; 3.16.7, 3.17.9, 3.17.10. None of them have drivers for my printer.
I would accept any version of HPLIP that will work.

My first install of the printer (8710) worked when I installed it under ubuntu 16.04 but quit working when I was prompted to upgrade.

On my Ubuntu 16.04, with HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus, HPLIP 3.16.3 works correctly.

Ubuntu 15.04 is EOL (end of life) and no longer supported in any way. I suggest you wipe the install off and do a clean install of Xenial (Ubuntu 16.04). Xenial is LTS and supported til April 2021.

No. you did not answer my question. Whlch version of HPLIP supports an
HP Officejet Pro 8710? I will install it myself.
