Can I cancel or annotate apport bug reports?

Asked by Andrew Schepler

I'm running Ubuntu Xenial 16.04.3 LTS on my home desktop. I had been selecting to send bug reports whenever the apport pop up appeared. But recently it started appearing more and more often. After some troubleshooting, I determined I had a bad section of RAM.

So most of the apport submissions I previously made are probably fairly useless since they likely just show effects of my hardware problem, not software bugs. Is there any way to "cancel" those bug reports, discount them from aggregate statistics, annotate them as caused by hardware, or anything like that?

I'd be willing to take action myself, but that might not be possible since these bug reports are private for good reason. (And maybe they're not connected to my Ubuntu One ID?) If there's anything useful to be done and I can't do it myself, whom should I contact and what information should I provide?
