meaning of acpi_listen

Asked by Jean Tinguely Awais

Hello,
I'm using Ubuntu 16.4.3 LTS with the kernel 4.10.0.35-generic.
I want to troubleshoot my [Fn]+[F11] key combination ( airplane mode hotkey ).
When I enter acpi_listen in an terminal then I make the combination [Fn]+[F11] then the system give me :

PNP0C14:00 000000d0 00000000
PNP0C14:00 000000d0 00000000

I don't uderstand the significtion of this, because when I make the combination [FN]+[F8] the system give me only one line :
video/brightnessdown BRTDN 00000087 00000000

 What is the meaning of the acpi_listen PNP0C14:00 000000d0 00000000 ?

Best regards.
Jean.

Hello,
As mentioned in the link we have the same settings that solve the issue.
But what mean "PNP0C14:00 000000d0 00000000". I understand the keycode is 000000d0. But what else?
Best regards.
Jean.
