HP Officejet 6600 says Printer Failure

I have tried turning on/off printer and computer and it does not go away. I need help ASAP.

lsb_release -a; uname -a; apt-cache policy hplip

I don’t know how to answer your question. I am not even sure I understand it. Please give me more information or explain how to retrieve this info. I had the printer off all night and the same message appears:

 Printer Failure - There is a problem with the printer or ink system. Turn printer off, then on. If the problem persists, contact HP.
