Chewing Chinese doesn't allow entry of some characters

Asked by wanghaozhi

I'm using ubuntu Hardy Heron, but this problem exists in Ibex as wel.. The Chewing Traditional Chinese that ubuntu has in its official repository doesn't allow the entry of certain characters, for example the 'wo3' meaning 'I'. When I type, for example 'wo3', just nothing appears, instead of a list of candidate Chinese characters. The problem has something to do with looking at the last character in a list of candidate characters. As I understand, the problem has been solved by Chewing, but ubuntu doesn't yet include the updated and corrected versions of Chewing or the tables necessary Can ubuntu please add the updated files?
