Display problem : fonts partially disappears

Asked by Benoit MORDAC

Hi,

I'm running Ubuntu16.04 on a Dell Latitude E6540 Laptop (intel core i7 / intel VGA + Radeon HD 8790M).

The problem is that some fonts (not all), partially disappears. The title of windows, desktop icons, menu (like file / edit / ...). But for example, text in a web page are not affected.

The problem appears after a wake up of the laptop (after a suspend, ie after closing the laptop). It appears randomly, sometimes it should appears 1 time per month, or sometime 1 time per days. I have this problem since the beginning (of the time this laptop has gone on linux).

Does someone have an idea ?

Have you changed the theme or anything like that?
If you log in as guest is it OK?

No change like theme. But I have use unity desktop manger, or gnome shell, and as well on awesome window manager the problem should be present (in menu for example).

By asking this question, I want to know if I'm the only one getting this type of problems, or if I need to search on the hardware side (memory problem, video card ... ).
