Thanks for your question.
Do you have a cd or a dvd in the driver ?
With Linux you cannot eject the cdrom if it is in use.

Try to close all applications which are using the cd, then you can eject your cd in 3 ways :
a) click on the button on the drive (obviously)
b) right-click on the cd icon on the desktop and choose eject
c) open a terminal and type "eject"
