tomcat8 installation issues on ubuntu 16.04 LTS

Hi,

I have recently purchased a lenovo core i5 8GB free DOS laptop and installed Ubuntu 16.04 LTS.

however, when I started installing tomcat8, it failed. then I tried to uninstall but the directories didn't get removed completely. even with sudo su (root)

2nd time, I am getting below errors.. can you please help?
