how to connect mobile phone as hardware

What exact model phone is it? I believe it runs Windows OS does it not (not that it matter)? I am just trying to provide the best possible solution.

I don't know this phone, so I can't help.

However I think it might be easier for someone to answer your question if you provided the following information

1. do you try to use a Bluetooth or USB (or possibly even Infrared) connection?

2. which Ubuntu version do you use? Bluetooth phone connections don't work very well in Intrepid. The Bluetooth stack was updated, but the gnome desktop doesn't support the new version as completely in Hardy.

Thank you for your query.After connecting with computer I select mass storage from the menu displayed in the phone,then Ubuntu 8.10 identify my phone and working well.Thank you once again.
