About the updates

Asked by Evert Drijver

Hello friends,
often, when I let the updates go on, I find thing that I cannot work with.
Than there are a lot of things changed. ok, I also have autism, maybe that
makes the changes worse.
Now also with firefox, some "buttons" cannot be read.
Like down here, there is a button, that is empty, right of it "or Cancel"
There IS something on that button, but the contrast is only 1 % or so.
Also the deselect "x" on the right in the tabs is not visible, before you
put the mouse onto that place.

I have found out often such kind of problems.
Or, when it is not a bug, it can still be very difficult for me to work with the
changes in some software.

I wanted therefor to ask if it would be possible with every update to make
a list of everything that will be updated, but so, that one can deselect
things that (s)he not wants to be changed.
Is that a good idea ?

That is why today I have reinstalled version 9 from DVD again, to get an older
version from office, and the older version of firefox.
But suddenly the newer version of firefox got back again, without contrast
in the buttons.

Many thanks in advance.

Like below this box where I am writing now,
there are three empty buttons.
The text is only visible when you click on it
with the mouse.
But WHAT am I clicking on ?
I cannot read it.

I have to click on it, BUT have to keep the mousebutton pressed,
and move the mouse out the button first, before I can release the
mousebutton.

You aren't using Ubuntu. You are using Zorin OS. Zorin has its own forums and community which are separate from Ubuntu's.

None of the "Ubuntu based" distributions are supported here. I suggest you post on the Zorin forum here:

Sorry, you have not understood my question.

My question was to modify the way of sending the updates.
So that people have the possibillity of deselect updates in the list,
when they do not want to have some software changed.

Thanks !

That still doesn't change the fact that your OS is not supported here. Please use the forum of your distribution.
