Minimal CD (mini.iso) installation (for amd64/i686) doesn't success because installer don't care non-free firmware

Asked by

Hello, I want use Ubuntu on an old PC that has only CD drive.

So I download `mini.iso` from [this page](https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Installation/MinimalCD "Ubuntu Minimal CD Download Page").

I know my PC (it's is laptop) contain non-free firmware, and other GNU-oriented operating system --- e.g. Debian GNU/Linux --- say me "Your computer has non-free firmware. Do you have the additional software? [Yes/No]" during installing.

But the `mini.iso` neither for amd64 nor i686, doesn't seem care about it --- the installation was over as if there were no problem.

In fact, the installation is not succeeded (maybe) because of that non-free firmware. The Operating System doesn't boot. Not even GRUB2.

How can I tell about firmware information to `mini.iso`?
