Strange dmesg messages

Asked by John Rose

I get lots of dmesgmessages:
[10382.377506] atkbd.c: Unknown key pressed (translated set 2, code 0x8d on isa0060/serio0).
[10382.377520] atkbd.c: Use 'setkeycodes e00d <keycode>' to make it known.

Are they to with me usb wireless keyboard linked to my laptop?

This usually means that You pressed some kind of a non-standard key on Your keyboard which Linux does not know about - some laptops have extra buttons like 'Home Page', 'Email' etc. The message comes from atkbd and serio0 on isa, so it's PS/2 port orientated - hence nothing to do with wireless USB keyboard.
