problem in login

hello
i have problem in login to the ubuntu because the language be arabic and
i can't change the language to english to enter the user name
i try to press options and change language to english
but this attempt faild and alo try to enter by Ctr+alt F1
but the termainal also write arbic not english and i try to change
the language by press Alt+Alt ,Alt+shift ,Ctr+shift ,,, and so on
but all attempts Unfortunately faild so i want know
how to change the language to english again to be login to the system

Hi,
try changing your locale by one of these ways (reboot maybe needed):
(1) edit /etc/default/locale to contain: LANG="en_US.UTF-8"
(2) http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=400169
(3) advice from: http://blog.andrewbeacock.com/2007/01/how-to-change-your-default-locale-on.html
    run:
    locale-gen en_US.UTF-8
    update-locale LANG=en_US.UTF-8
