Please clarify: do you want to install Windows on your whole disk or do you want to have a dual boot Windows/Ubuntu?

In any case, you can google some HOW-TOs in the web. Otherwise, if you are still unclear about what to do, then please clarify what you want exactly.

Well then you need a Windows installation CD and you should probably check the windows pages for instructions. This is not really a question about Ubuntu then because you just overwrite your Ubuntu installation when you install Windows on your whole disk. Nothing to do in Ubuntu there, just install Windows.

Boot from which CD? If you want to test if a CD is booting, just throw in the CD and restart.

Aha, I think I understand now. When you have a boot CD, then your system will completely boot from the CD and it doesn't matter what is on your hard drive. So you should be able to boot Windows from one of those recovery CDs and then install it from there. But I never did that myself, I'm sure you can google some instruction on how to install Windows from the recovery CDs.
