Ubuntu 17.04 crashes while waking up from sleep

Asked by Kartik Sibal

Hello,

I have Ubuntu 17.04 running on my desktop. Whenever I hit suspend, the desktop enters suspend mode fine. But, as soon as I wake it up, it starts the system and the system crashes immediately.

The weird thing is, if I wake up the system within a few minutes of suspending it. It starts back fine, i.e. if the suspend is longer than a few minutes (>10 mins), It crashes while I try to wake it up, else not.

Specs:

OS: Dual boot Windows 10 & Ubuntu 17.04
Processor: i5-4440
Ram: 8Gb DDR3
Graphics: Intel integrated onboard

Thanks

I suggest you test your RAM using Memtest86 from GRUB as a good starting point

Can you help with this problem?
