Where to get a .inf file

Asked by chuckmagic

Well, I'm still noobing around being nooby...

So, I have been having problems with the wireless on my pc. I've been doing some research and apparently, ubuntu recognizes the wireless card and the status is "UNCLAIMED". The pc uses a lite-on wireless card (i have no idea how this could be) and a driver by ralink. When I look up the driver it is "netr28x.sys" but there is no .inf file at all when I look for one. I went to ralink's website and it makes no sense to me.

I managed to get the ndisgtk/ndiswrapper installed in ubuntu (i think i did it right). But where on earth do i get the .inf?

I cannot run a LAN cable from my router to my pc...

Thanks for all the help,
chuck

RALink provides linux drivers here: http://www.ralinktech.com/ralink/Home/Support/Linux.html

alternatively you can find the .inf file in the Windows driver download from the manufacturer's website.

Can you help with this problem?
