cd drive wont mount cd

when i put in a cd it just spins and says unable to mount cd .

does this happen with all CDs? or just one in particular? audio CD, Data CD, DVD, etc?

Try to clean the optic inside your cd/dvd rom with CD/DVD Cleaner.

Seems you have to buy a new DVD/CD rom. That's the only way.
