How to get wine to work offline

im trying to get my new os to work, but i cant get it to work with out Wine, without wine i cant install the executable to run my Wireless connection does anyone know if there is a way to download the whole thing on a Windows os online and save it and transport it to the Ubuntu?

I don't think you need Wine to set up wireless card. What card are you using?

im trying to use wine to use my adapter like i was in XP...
because it was d link it set the whole thing up, but im not use to linux yet so i dont know how to connect it to my router :'(

Let me see if I have it right -- you are running Ubuntu (which version? Intrepid?) and are trying to use Wine in order to set up your wireless adapter, correct?

That's not going to work. Wine is a program that allows you to run (some) Windows programs on GNU/Linux. But, you can't install drivers.

Anyway, the D-Link DWL 120+ doesn't seem to work very well under Linux, at all. You may be able to get it to work, but I think it would probably be better just to get something else. Sorry.

Can you help with this problem?
