Running Ubuntu 16.04 live CD from a USB drive.
Attempt to mount a hard disk partition in terminal under /mnt/sda8, and it mounts as verified from the mount command

But the file system is not accessible under /mnt/sda8

Under /mnt/sda8 all I see is lost+found

Lost+Found is in the root of all Linux file systems.

Is this a new partition you are mounting?
