Install applications - add and remove

I have downloaded the NVIDIA driver but i don't know how to install the driver and i want the installtions detail. Could you help me please?

open a Terminal, type and press ENTER :

sudo apt-get install (programnamehere)

For example :

sudo apt-get install emesene
