E: the package linux-image2.6.22-15generic needs to be reinstalled, can't find archive

This started when an update download was interrupted. I tried the suggested method of manually running the dpkg config command and this did clear up the first error problem, now exposing the missing generic linux-image file listed in my summary statement. What next? Find and download the missing file? If so, How? I want to be able to download updates via the package manager.
