asus n10jc + easy peasy = no sound

first of all i'm new at this linux/ubuntu/easy peasy thing, so sorry if i ask dumb question..
i install the lates easy peasy to my netbook (asus n10jc) from the beginning there is no sound...
not at start up, clicking file, playing mp3, video, anything..
it's like mute (although the volume is max)
can anyone help me please? i really want to use ubuntu instead of microsoft...
