enabling desktop effects causes black firefox popups

when desktop effects enabled firefox opens completely black windows,
some opens normal but this time pop ups comes black at all.
some menu shows black sometimes normal, drives me nuts,
like the effects but cant get it to work. Restricted nvidia driver is installed,
resolution : all resolutions experienced same problem
nvidia 6150 gpu, amd dc. am2 3800+, asus m2npv-mx, 64 bit feisty 7.04
how to use it correctly ?

You're using it correctly. The reason that the windows pop up black is that by them you've run out of available RAM on your video card.

You might try disabling a few plugins/effects, and see if that helps. I'm not sure it will; I'm not sure there's much you can do about it.

my graphicscard uses shared memory its onboard, let me see if I can increase graphics memory from bios,
I think that may help. I will post what happens.

Thanks for the answer Stephen,
I have increased graphics buffer memory size from 32 Mb to 128 Mb from bios,
works brilliant afterall I am so happy now. :)

hi I don't have an onboard graphics card but a PCI express nvidia 6200 with 128 MB RAM and i am still getting the black windows almost as soon as I open a mozilla or other window . any hacks or fixes for that?
