So I took the disk back out and tried it agian, and agian nothing. I tried to find the program in my computer but I was unsuccessful. Please help. Thank you

Did you do a checksum after downloading? Have a look at https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Checksum.

No I didn't do a checksum, I looked at the link. I understand what it is but how do I get to it, I have Windows Vista right now.

Perfect.
Because you don't have the correct Boot Sequence on your BIOS.

Let me explain, you PC are booting directly to HD,
you need to configure it to try to boot From CD (optional, boot from USB), and finally from HD.

when you Turn on the PC, what do you see ???

-You see a fancy picture?
-You see ugly white letters?

You see an "Boot Option" or "Boot Menu" when you Turn on the PC ??

You should do a checksum. You can do it also under Vista. Maybe you've to find a package. Use google and you will find a package. Checksums are important.

Yep, maybe the boot sequence is wrong. Do you have a booklet for the PC? There you can find out how to change the sequence.

Or maybe if you boot you'll get a message like "Press F10 for Setup".
