I'm looking for an English Oxford Language Dictionary for Unbuntu 8.04. The translaltion should be from English to English.

What would you like to do with it? Are you just looking to search for definitions from time to time, or do you want to have it work inside of a program (like openoffice.org)? I'm asking in order to better understand your question.

In that case, you could use this website run by the Oxford University Press:

http://www.askoxford.com/

That runs perfectly well on Ubuntu, and doesn't involve installing anything. As far as having an Oxford English Dictionary installed on Ubuntu, I'm not sure if it can be done.

* spelling options
* hover/click for oed.com lookup
