ubuntu support

hi

i am thinking of installing ubuntu just wanted to know if it support my hardware

he is my hardware:
1-intel 2.5 core2duo
3-3gb ddr2 ram
4-geforce 8400 gigabyte 512 ddr2 vga card
5-320 hd
6-mother board asus g31

i am asking this because i heard that some people had problems with their nvidia program
and that ubuntu doesnt support this type of vga cards

if this is true plz tell me how can i fix it

I'm not too sure if it'll work with your mashine, but the best way to find out is to boot into the LiveCD.

some cards may need the binary nvidia driver in order to work: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/BinaryDriverHowto/Nvidia

You may be able to find support for non-working bits and pieces in the IRC channels :), but I've had very few problems with my desktop computer.
