Asked by Nay Myo Win

While i m using Intrepid desktop on my laptop ToSHIba L300,
I plug in portable HDD and laptop automatically power off

Though I plug in with power adaptor , it shows no sign .
though i use with battery alone, whenever i press power button, it doesn't start.

i think it is destroyed in power function.

what do u think i should do?? I can't leave my laptop at service shop coz of my data.

that sounds like a hardware problem. if i understand you correctly you are currently unable to power your laptop on? try unplugging any external devices (portable HDD, anything usb, firewire, etc) and remove your battery. try turning on the laptop with only the A/C power.

If you are concerned about your data you can remove the hard disk from your laptop and then take it in for service.
