15GB is the default size for wubi.

Ubuntu is installed within a file in the Windows file system (c:\ubuntu\disks\root.disk)

Wubi also creates a swap file in the Windows file system (c:\ubuntu\disks\swap.disk)

Please consider to not use Ubuntu installed via Wubi

I suggest you to install Ubuntu NOT using Wubi.

If you have installed Ubuntu via Wubi please uninstall it read http://wubi-installer.org/faq.php

Installing Ubuntu using Wubi make Ubuntu less robust and all problems that you will have to Windows can be affect your Ubuntu partition file.

I strongly suggest you to install Ubuntu+Windows in dual mode creating a real Ubuntu ext3 partition.
In this mode you can use Ubuntu and Windows ad usual and then using installed Ubuntu you can save or repair damaged (due viruses or other issue) Windows partitions data.

- Here the steps to install Ubuntu 8.04.2 https://help.ubuntu.com/community/GraphicalInstall (pretty the same for Ubuntu 8.10)

Is very easy to install, if you need info please ask.

Thank you

I prefer the idea of setting up the proper dual-boot as marcobra said and tehn transferring everything from the Wubi before getting rid of it. A proper dual-boot combines the best of both operating Systems but the Wubi is wobbly
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/WindowsDualBoot

I've given the same guidelines as marcobra but these ones are more about content, they work well together ;)
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/WubiGuide#How do I migrate to a real partition, and/or get rid of Windows entirely

Note we both recommend keeping Windows but just adding Ubuntu by giving it a separate space so that it's not at the mercy of Windows systems. Either or both of us are willing to help you achieve this easily.

Good luck and regards from
Tom :)
