which one is a supported PTTP client program for UBUNTU.??

I downloaded pptp- 1.7.2-3.fc2.src.rpm it gave me a message that it is not supported, again pptp- 1.72.-3.fc1.src.rpm and pptp- 1.7.2-3.fc8.x86_64.rpm
also were the same.

what should I do please??

What's wrong with the Ubuntu supported package pptp-linux?

You should be able to install it using the package manager, "Synaptic".

sorry to put up this question. I just downloaded it through synaptic manager.

but I still couldn't locate it to set it up.

I think pptp-linux is only the low level client. I.e you can configure it by editting text files, but that's probably not what you want to do :-).

There's a high level frontend for NetworkManager. Try installing network-manager-pptp. Then right click on the network icon on your panel, and you should be able to create a PPTP connection somehow.
