SAMinside alternative for linux

Hi, does anyone know of a linux programme which can be used as an alternative to windows programmes such as SAMinside for cracking windows user name and password hashes from the SAM and system files?

Try
System - Administration - Synaptic Package Manger (near the end)
and use the search button rather than Quick Search tool maybe type in
windows password hashes
and see what it finds. The search features default to searching in the descriptions aswell as the package names so sometimes that kind of vague search works well. I'm not sure but i think the quick search assumes that what you type has " " marks - i am probbably wrong about that tho.
