Cannot find Kubuntu and Xubuntu 8.04.2 images

Hello,

I cannot find Kubuntu and/or Xubuntu 8.04.2 CD, and Ubuntu 8.04.2 DVD images nowhere. Or weren't they a part of 8.04.2 release (this would be really bad..) ?

i checked Xubuntu's website and they are still linking to 8.04.1. i checked a couple of mirrors and i only saw 8.04.1 as well. I didnt see 8.04.2 if you have 8.04.1 and do all the system updates, you will be 8.04.2 :)

I appreciate your prompt reply but.. You know how much updates there are since 8.04.1? Well, if I remember correctly, about 1,000. This is unacceptable amount of data to download each time I reinstall (K)ubuntu :/ Debian does rebuild each of its images with each update (they call that "revision"). I don't understand why ubuntu team cannot :) Still, I do not give up hope, because point releases are mentioned in the schedule:

hopefully they will release a Kubuntu/Xubuntu 8.04.2 soon, as Ubuntu 8.04.2 has only been out a week now. if you plan on installing ubuntu on multiple computers, i have two suggestions for you:

1) you can download all the update packages and cache them onto one computer. save them to a usb key and then use that to update the rest of the pcs.

2) once you have your pc the way you want it, you can use partimage to backup the partition to a DVD, or external drive. then you could restore it onto other pcs. partimage doesn't use the partition table at all though so you'd have to create the partition on the drive first.

I just needed a confirmation that Kubuntu/Xubuntu 8.04.2 will be released eventually. :) And ubuntu dvd image stays unupdated, sadly :(
