Problem ordering Breezy Badger ver. 5.10

Asked by malcolm jones

Hi
I am trying to order B reezy Badger ver. 5.10 I am a new member of Ubuntu and a little confused. I'm stuck over the need to provide a Secure Certificate.

Have registered with Launchpad and am now in Launchpad viewing details of Breezy Badger but can't tell if my system is AMD 64 or Intelix86 compatible. My PC is an Intel Pentium 2 running Windows 98

I clicked on Intel ix86 and it has now faded so I think I must have nominated same. But I can't see where I am to verify my legitimacy to order or how many to ask for.

Really all I want is three CD's so I and two friends can try it out.

When I logged onto Ubuntu Shipit it gave me a window asking for a certificate and when I OK'd that a Windows Explorer window dealing with Secure websites and secure certificates came up. In that somewhere it says that I must configure Explorer to authenticate me.

I'm muchly confused and completely at a loss as to how to proceed further and hope that you will help by sending some advice to my e-mail address please.

If it helps my postal address is Malcolm Jones

Hello Malcolm,

To enlighten you a bit, the certificate window IE showed to you actually tells you that the certifcate used to verify the identity of ShipIt belongs to the Launchpad. For this situation, you could just ignore this and choose accept the site's identity as it is.

As for your requirements (what CDs to ask and how many to ask) you can just choose the default setting, "Standard Request: 5 PC CDs" in the "Request Details" section once you are logged in. Of course, please provide your shipping details just as you presented above so ShipIt can process your request.

Hope this answers your query,

Zakame

this the fourth time I have posted this as closed. I keep getting reminders. The reminders when I log on are by thomas porteus who it says is not a member of any ubuntu teams. what is going on. Zakame is the person who told me how to fix my problem which is now FIXED. I think all I can do now is ignore any future reminders
Regards Malcolm
