dvd player will not work

i tryed to burn a movie with devede and now nothing will play in the dvd player an it makes va weird noise like its trying to work but i dont think it is even spinning........can u help?

when you burn your dvd make sure you are selected the correct format for your dvdplayer NTSC or PAL. also when burning the disc you can try burning at the slowest speed your discs support, or you can try different brand of disks.

thank you,but the problem is that my disc dive is not working at all and its keeps saying: unable to mount location &no media in drive aswell when i start my comp at the very first it says chrum 5 i think or something like that ,i never seen it before.
i also was messing with the packages to get devede to work. i think i did some thing wrong &stuiped

forget trying to burn a disc for the moment, does your cd drive read discs at all?

no disc does not read anything and in start up it goes to a lot of recoveery kernnels 8.04 as well

i also tryed to download 8.10 to try a solve the problem .then reallized i needed to use a disc .so i then deleted 8.1o after trying to just open it

i reinstall 8.04 and cd rom still wont work,i think it is broken
